University of Oregon Student recreation center

Project: Create viral TikTok videos for the University of Oregon’s Student Recreation Center in order to gain the attention of both current and prospective students. These videos amassed 339,250 views and 22,850 likes.

Insight: UO students don’t watch the recreation center’s TikTok because it’s “boring” (information gathered from interviews of gym-goers).

Idea: Create a brand identity that stands out by poking-fun at UO’s gym users and highlights information in a fun, sarcastic way.

Video 1 highlights the interactions between recreation staff members and patrons who believe they have the ability to perform serious medical tasks without attending medical school.

Video 2 urges patrons to collect their lost-and-found items before staff members are given the option to take them home (news flash, it worked!).
